When I was a child, attending public school in the USA, I was taught to hold my hand over my heart and repeat a pledge that included, “with liberty and justice for all.” I was told that our entire way of life was governed by the Constitution of the United States and I was told that we had the freest press in the world. Forty years after I was born, I found these “truths” to be far from self evident.

those gready politicians on both side are doing all this for votes. none of them are doing it to better serve we the people. will the price a hospital charges you for a bandaid drop if the so-called healthcare reform goes threw? i'm a man who makes about 20-24,000 a year. so it's not like i'm some one with money trying to cover my butt. i have friends who make the same amount as i do and pay a fraction of what i do in taxs(just because they have kids). mater of fact they make at least 7-10,000 in profit on thier tax return.this means they are better able to by thier drugs and alcohal, rather then get health care. our politicians pander to lazy people and tell them that the hard working people who have saved thier money and live a better life for it,are just gready. i've spent time with both class' of people (both rich and poor)and find the ones who take care of thier health also have more money. in most occasions they are republicans, and more often conservative. so to say that the reppublicans who didn't vote for this false claim of helping the poor. are greedy is just silly. sorry that you have been mislead. in closing i am not a republican. i vote according to what information i can gather.
